"The Cosy Studio" LIVE!

The Concept

The Cosy Studio was born from a united dream between a close group of friends. A dream to build a road-ready, mobile recording studio that could spend the glorious British summer touring our finest festival scene to be part of events far and wide, and to capture the sounds and essence of the journeys along our way.

The Recordings

Take a listen some of our favourite moments below. Individual festivals also have their own report.

Cosy Studio's LIVE! is the fusion of “YurtsUp” (our yurt hire company based in Kent) and “Cosy Studios”, a static graphics and recording studio on the Kent/Sussex border.
The elegant and sumptuous yurts provide the cocoon and reassuring environment for the project, and Cosy Studio’s talented crew provide the technical wizardry and sonic mysticism that makes the magic happen.

So it's a stage?

The concept embraces the relationship between audience and performer in an truly unique way. Less like a stage here, and crowd there scenario — it’s more like a gathering, which creates a very special environment for any performer: one of intimacy, and one that really encourages the performers to play and the audience to listen... and we have plenty of recordings with people saying it.

How organised is it?

The Cosy Studio is an inviting, enticing and comfortable space, which creates a rare opportunity for anyone to get involved. It brings out the unknown talent and reveals the existing, and it totally absorbs both audiences and performers alike.
We also have a massive base of professional acts, supplied bar The Harrisson Bar that we can bring along with us to set the barr.
We always have a team on site who’ll be uploading photos and sound bites shortly after performances happen. Real-time documentation will be broadcast over multiple social networks.

Back on the village green again!
The heat this year was stifling and so the Cosy Studios yurt provided some solid refuge for ears and those in need of some shade!

  • Cosy accompanied Music 4 Children, a charity that helps children worldwide with its projects, to Glastonbury this year.

  • Coco & The Butterfields

Organised by a small crew of passionate locals, Tentertainment was an impressive execution of a festival right in the middle of a small town in Kent. Cosy were welcomed with open arms by the organisers & the public to entertain & involve.
